About Us
In 2020, Dr. Debbie Rue retired from practice and passed the ownership of her beloved hospital onto the VetnCare team. It is our great privilege to serve the Fremont community and your beloved pets, oftentimes multiple generations of dogs and cats in some of your households! Our team truly treats your pets as if they were our own.
We are equipped to assist you with routine preventive care for young, healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages, and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during their lifetime. We can manage your pet’s care here at our facility and solve most ailments in-house, which saves time and, most importantly, potentially your pet’s life.
Our team immerses ourselves in the wider Bay Area community and supports our local Humane Society and the Feral Cat Foundation.
The people and the pets of the Bay Area are our passion. Our tight-knit team comes to work every day to provide the best care possible for your furry companions and family members!
How do we provide compassionate care?
It starts with developing a quality team of caring, respectful, motivated, highly skilled individuals.
Our team is our greatest asset: our friendly and helpful Client Service Representatives – the advocates for our clients, and our technical team, who are responsible for providing nursing care to our patients – the advocates for your pets. Our highly educated veterinarians use their vast medical knowledge and passion for pets to help everyone who walks through our doors. Our whole team embraces high standards of clinical care, and your furry friends benefit from it.
Our AAHA accreditation means that our hospital has been evaluated on over 900 standards of veterinary excellence. To maintain this accreditation, hospitals undergo a rigorous review by veterinary experts every three years. Your pets are our passion. And keeping them happy and healthy is our #1 priority.

We strive to make every visit as gentle, pain-free, and stress-free as possible for your pets. We are proud that many of our hospital team members are Fear Free Certified®! To become certified, veterinarians and team members must complete a comprehensive, 8-part educational course and exam.
